Skylar was a “foster fail” from 9 years ago. A totally shut down skinny, tall girl. She soon took over the house and 3 dog siblings.
She spent the rest of her life being energetic and exuberant! She loved all creatures including humans. At 105 lbs. her biggest deficit was her happiness 😇🥰. I never heard her growl!
I have suffered the loss of many dogs… always had time to prepare. This time it was emergency… ruptured spleen.
My story… her passing was peaceful and being loved! Every single person at the hospital were professional, warm, empathetic and patient. They not only cared for Skylar, they cared for me as well!! Being with empathetic care givers helps our fear and grief as we help our pets cross the rainbow bridge!
I will rescue another dog to honor Skylar!!
