I adopted Rookie at a year old. He was rescued from the e-list at the pound by the AZ Humane Society and I found him at a PetSmart event. When I took him to the dog park the first time, he shocked me and everyone else because he loved to run and he was incredibly fast! He'd have all the dogs chasing him in big circles. His favorite things were stealing other dogs' toys and daring them to catch him. I never did know what breed(s) he was; the two DNA tests I did came back with different results. Sadly, he succumbed at 12 years old to CHF (*sniff*). My kitty and I miss him terribly and we hope that after we've had time to grieve, we can again open our hearts and home to new furry family member.
