Kala was such a special pup from the day we got her. Her name means sunshine in Hawaiian and she sure was that: a ray of sunshine that made life worth living. She was big on giving kisses and had so much expression in those eyes. She always got a feather in her hair from the groomer and it was very rare that the feather stayed in until the next grooming session, but it was her signature, as her groomer Ms. Kim would say. There’s a huge presence gone now, but I know we will see her again.
