Remembering Bella Bear Cherie (Bella)
Best dog ever in my 60 years; is very missed. . She was loyal, easy to train and LOVED children, people and all other dogs, large and small. Sweet and gently playful with all.
She had an amazing memory of both people and words.
I didn’t realize I posted about her passing on social media, just how many people’s lives she touched in her 10 1/2 years.
One night I had let her out to potty and she started barking and growling nonstop at the side gate to the yard. My husband and I grabbed flashlights, phones poised on 911 and so forth expecting to find an unwanted person near the gate. We got there, saw nothing; she kept barking. Turned out to be a tiny baby possum frozen in terror on the top of the gate that we helped get across. Bella was very pleased we had come out and “eliminated the danger”.
Thank you to the Vet Clinic here for the most professional , thorough, compassionate care of her – especially in the last months of her life.
