NO BITE SCHOOL PROGRAM

The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic, a full service pet hospital, with boarding and grooming services has been serving Scottsdale for the past 60 years and is located conveniently on Thomas and Scottsdale Rd. and open from 7:30 am to 11:00 pm daily. With a warm and friendly staff of technicians and five full time veterinarians who specialize in all types of treatments for dogs, cats and exotics, we can meet your every need. We are excited to join In the Zona magazine to present our NO BITE program to as many kids as possible.
Did You Know? Statistics show that 4.5 million (+) people are injured annually by dog attacks, and children make up 60% of these attacks, 30% of which are perpetrated by the family dog. Too often it is the lack of educating our children on dog safety and how to interact and treat our pets that lead to these misfortunate incidents.
It is our goal to teach students to become actively involved and engaged in changing these statistics through education. We discuss and demonstrate common mistakes that are made when encountering strange dogs, which include maintaining proper spacing, keeping emotionally calm, as well as how to react and protect oneself if they are ever attacked.
Our program is 30 to 45 minutes in length and is designed to be presented in small class settings. It has been adapted to meet the Common Core Standards for Life Science for K-4 students. To schedule our presentation please contact:
